This Australian-based miner owns and operates a world class iron ore mine in South Australia and is currently engaging in future development through successful exploration. Due to this expansion, they are currently recruiting for a Cost Engineer to join their dedicated team for a long term contact.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be required to present the mining engineering team with cost effective solution to the open cut mine. your responsibilities will included allocating and establishing a timeline for project budget, cost deviation reporting, reviewing bid reviews for vendors and contractors.
You must have cost engineering experience in mining or heavy industrial industries. With experience in an open cut mine, you will have excellent time management skills and a strong understanding of mining regulations and operating conditions especially OH&S.
This is an immediate start contract role with a view to permanency for the right candidate. You will be rewarded with a family friendly even time roster FIFO from any capital city and an excellent hourly rate.
